However,  requests can be made to the president, vice president or secretary. The proposed date cannot conflict with an existing Intermountain Circuit approved show.

A $10 Circuit Fee is to be collected and submitted to the secretary for every entry in every Circuit class. These funds support the Circuit awards. Show secretaries should submit a copy of the NRCHA class reports with the Circuit fees within ten days of the show, to allow tracking of horses, riders, owners, and money won.

The Annual Meeting of the Intermountain Circuit is held in January or February of each year, prior to the Awards Banquet. Representatives from approved shows, interested riders, owners and trainers are welcome to attend to discuss classes, show approvals, dates, clinics, awards, conduct elections, and other business. For the purpose of making and approving decisions, each Circuit show has one vote, with the designated Show Representatives of the prior year's approved shows form the Board of Directors for the year.

The $10 Intermountain Circuit
fees collected by approved shows support Circuit Awards, which are presented to the top horses in each Circuit class, and in special categories.

Class Champions, Reserve Champions, third and fourth place in each class receive multiple customized awards, based on Circuit points earned at Circuit approved horse shows, derbies and futurities. In addition, every horse meeting the minimum number of shows to be eligible for awards is recognized as a Finalist.

To be eligible for Circuit awards the horse must be shown in the class a minimum number of times, with points counting from all approved shows:

  • The minimum number of futurities: 3

every show is recognized as a Bonus Horse with a special award.
